About US

Crooks and Candy was born from resilience, creativity, and ambition. At just 13, our founder and creative director, Twizer Thomson, lost both parents — a tragedy that shaped his outlook and drove him to channel his energy into reading, art, and later, fashion. Entirely self-taught, Twiz transformed his imagination into bold designs, experimenting with fabrics and details until he refined the distinct aesthetic that defines the brand today.

Inspired by John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, Crooks and Candy takes its name from the characters “Crooks” and “Candy” — symbols of hardship and hope. This duality lies at the heart of the brand: the struggle and the dream, the grit and the luxury.

Alongside Twiz, Micky “2 Gunnz” Younis brought his vision and drive, shaped by overcoming poverty and violence, into the brand’s DNA. Together, they built Crooks and Candy into a label that blends luxury streetwear with fearless individuality.

Crooks and Candy represents more than clothing — it’s about aspiration, defiance, and the pursuit of a life beyond circumstances. Our pieces are crafted for those who refuse to blend in, who wear their ambition as boldly as their style.
